In 2012 Jeff and Fleur Anning had a business hunch: that electric skateboards would be a hit with the market. Such was the strength of their convictions they sold their house to fund their vision.
Today their “Evolve Skateboards” brand rides the crest of the wave with sales into the millions of dollars.
Building a custom architect-designed home on a narrow deep block can require a similar leap of faith but this time helping them visualise and deliver their future home was the experienced team of Sea Breeze Homes and Scott Carpenter Architect.
The vision included: angular contemporary lines, polished concrete floors, a bold mix of hardwood timber cladding and barestone panelling and expansive glass sliding doors. AÂ central void not only creates and accentuate space but adds the ‘wow’ factor along with a glorious timber staircase made of surian batu.
Just as they experienced success with their business, Sea Breeze Homes gave them the best Christmas present ever: a brand new home at Casuarina Beach delivered ahead of schedule the day before Christmas eve!
Here’s what Fleur and Jeff had to say:
“Jeff and I would like to thank you for creating a beautiful home that has exceeded our expectations! We really appreciate all the hard work that must have gone into pulling it off and thank you for your great work ethic and communication along the way. The trades and everyone at your office have also been wonderful.
We have to say that Glenn Cartwright has been absolutely fantastic to deal with! His temperament, communication and accommodating nature made a huge difference to our experience from the time he came on board as foreman and he is an absolute asset to your business so thank you for putting our build in his hands”.
Congratulations Fleur and Jeff on the success of your business, Evolve Skateboards and on your delightful new home. On behalf of the Seabreeze Homes Team we wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy 2017!
