Terranora
Ossa Boulevard
From the street, this block appears deceptively level—but at the rear, the land dramatically falls away. To work with this challenging terrain, the home is elevated on structural stilts, allowing it to sit gracefully on the steep site without compromising function or aesthetics.

Project Overview
Challenging Site, Clever Design
Designed by architect David Gallez, this budget-conscious home uses subtle level changes to create a seamless flow between the drive-in garage and the main living areas. Expansive glazing and thoughtful orientation flood the interior with natural light throughout the day, while framing spectacular, never-to-be-built-out views of Terranora Creek.
The home’s coastal-inspired finishes—light timbers, soft whites, and natural textures—create a relaxed, beachside feel that perfectly complements its surroundings.
Built as a forever home for a young family, the project was delivered on time and within budget. The clients were thrilled with the outcome: a light-filled, thoughtfully designed home that captures both the beauty of its location and the practicality needed for everyday living.
